RE: HB 448 - Entitled:
Sales and Use Tax - Services

Synopsis:

Altering the definition of "taxable service" under the sales and use tax to impose the tax on specified services; exempting from the tax the sale of a parking facility or service by a political subdivision of the State; etc.

Thank you for contacting me concerning HB 448. After talking with many of the members on the Ways and Means Committee, I am confident this bill will not pass this legislative session. I hope we can work together to find a solution to the $1.3 billion shortfall that we will face next session.
